Kids Gone Mad!

Well we have had a great past couple of days, where did those come from? With the exception of last night.
We had our post placement interview and that went well, but coupled with that was an interview for our local christian radio station. The guy arrived late, which really is no big deal, but what we thought was going to be some basic questions was really a video recorded interview, come on! Now, normally had we known that this was going to take place we would have threatened, I mean preped the kids for what was going to happen and how they should act during this! So, having said that you can guess how this went down. The guy arrived about 5:00 and after some technical difficulties we wrapped it up around 6:00, yes in the evening, yes past supper time, yes Steeven skipped his nap yesterday as well.
As we sat in our living room chatting with him, on camera, our kids acted like wild things. I must say that Jordyn was not involved in any of this, except for trying to keep the peace. Steeven was pulling on the guys arm, dragging toys everywhere and ripping up one of Carter's papers. You can imagine how well that went over, I thought I might have to step in to that siuation, but no need it cleared up on it's own. Abby was waving the Star Wars light saver in front of the camera, then she went into the kitchen, still in view of the camera, and continued to wave it freely. Carter was acting like a kid on crack, not that I know what that would look like, but I can now imagine. The entire time our social worker is behind the camera recording, oh yes the whole time.
After having described this to you it sounds really bad, doesn't it? Actually it seemed horrible at the time, but I'm sure it will turn out fine. You know how parents always think it is worse than it really is. Wade and I were very exhausted afterwards though, we just sat and looked at each other for awhile and Wade said, "I don't think I have another one of those in me"! The man that came out was extremely nice and very considerate so that helped. He also isn't married and has no children, so you can bet he was cheering inside when he left!
Oh yes, another intersting day at the Christensen house!
