Anyway, Dr. Avery had the audiologist test Steeven's hearing and she did a great job with him. She actually has an adopted daughter from China, insert thanks to God here for putting people in my path that can relate. Steeven has some problems with hearing, but it is more than likely from the fluid in his inner ear. The Dr. said that he figured that would be the case with all the drainage going in Steeven's eyes and nose. So, as we were in "the booth" getting his hearing checked he decided to make himself at home on my lap and turn sideways with his legs over mine and relax a while. Thankfully this was at the end and the lady doing the testing thought it was funny.
*Back up a little in this story to the two of us in the waiting room between visiting with the doctor and waiting for the audiologist. Okay, so I am freaking out, on the inside because of course I look like I have it all together on the outside, about who will be home for Carter and I notice a phone in the waiting room, insert thanks to God again here. I ask the receptionist, "Can I use that phone?" She says yes, and by the way she has been staring at us all morning and smiling the whole time so thankfully she likes us! I call Kim, my angel sent from God that just happens to be my neighbor, and it is busy, are you kidding me here! As I am leaving a message the audiologists calls our name, so I cut my message short and pray that this doesn't take too long. Things move along and then we are in the waiting room again and so I use the wonderfully placed phone and this time Kim answers!!! So, as usual, she is able to help me out and I can relax about Carter.
I did decide that when Steeven and I are out at appointments maybe I should be the one to carry the cell phone!
Tomorrow what does our day look like, well glad you asked. Steeven gets his eyes checked in the morning then in the afternoon he has a CT scan and then back to Dr. Avery to go over results. He will need his adenoids removed and the doctor is covering all his bases so if anything else needs to be done he can do it all at once, smart guy. This time I am covering all of my bases with the other kids so no worries tomorrow, I may be a little slow but I am learning! Stay tuned for more drama at the Christensen house :-)
